Laura Shepard
Laura Shepard (aka Julie Roberts)

Laura Ann Shepard
Laura Shepard was born on April 4, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan. It is believed that she spent time living in Reseda, California, a neighbourhood in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.
Little is known about Laura Shepard outside of the fact that she was arrested with other Family members at one of the ranch raids which placed here in the list of mugshots of associated Manson Family members.
It is believed that since there is a lack of information about her involvement with the family, she was likely with the family for a short period of time.
According to Internet chatter on forums, those of which discuss the case and other crimes and murders, sometime around the year 2000, Santa Barbara County Law Enforcement began contacting Charles Manson related websites and wanted to know if anyone had ever been able to track her down or had any further information on her.
Even police apparently had not been able to find her. Most of the people associated with the Manson Family used aliases so it is not certain if either the Sheppard name or the Roberts name is even her true name. Law Enforcement was looking for her to rule her out as being the woman known only as Jane Doe 59 found at the quarry. In 2016 Los Angeles police revealed Jane Doe 59’s true identity as Reet Jurvetson, a 19-year-old from Canada, while leaving open, only narrowly, the possibility that Manson may have played a role in her death.

We are specifically interested in receiving some background information on her childhood, time and experiences with the Family and her life afterwards.
